The Power of a Dream

A brief introduction, I wrote this after waking up from a dream, one where everything was fine, familiar. Before being brought back to the reality in which situations were not.

Roping you in and shoving you into an unfamiliar past,

Yet you recognise it so, it makes you feel utterly complete

This feeling of joy, feeling of recognition, feeling of remembrance,

Why do these feelings come from something so false as a dream?

That’s the power of a dream.

To give you a reality but take it away, to give you direction but find out it was a false life, an ideal life.

Now you have to go out in life, to find your own reality, to forget the one of dreams. While secretly remembering and cherishing it.
