Anger as a Substitute for Sadness

You may wonder dear friend,
What’s my problem,
Why did I snap,
Why do I argue,
Why do I pick fights,
Why do I avoid you,

Please know in a clear moment of clarity, that I do not mean the anger I show, it’s a substitute for the pain and sadness in my soul.

I fear losing so I push away,
Or I may grab hold out of fear of losing and end up pushing those I care about away.

The anger I show is a substitute for the pain I feel.
