Moment Missed, Moments to Come

Those moments missed,
Fleeting as they are,
Providing ghosts, image of what could have been
What is this magic? This ambiguity? This feeling.

Regret fills your stomach to the brim,
Feeling sick,
Dizzy
Light-headed.

Those moments missed,
Those “could have been”s
All gone,
In a blink of an eye.

Leave the singular taste of a promise…

To move on,
To try, to inspire, to entertain.
To make the most of every one of those “moments to come”.
To make the most of the life you hold,
The life you cultivate,
The life you paint.

To move on from those missed moments, to make and hold the ones to come.
