Shattered Mind

Another poem I wrote a while ago, about a mind, broken, smashed, wanting to piece them together, but also wanting to throw the pieces away.

Broken,
Into many sharp shards.
Each with a story,
Each with a pain,
Each broken beyond repair.

Cast down the pieces,
Cast out the feelings, the pain.

Smash the pieces that remain.
Embrace the vacancy.

Sick of the fake reflection shown to others,
The fake smile
The grin,
The laugh.

So many broken pieces that it’s impossible to tell reflection from real,
Feeling from act.
