Erosion of Emotions

Emotions, my rock, my foundation.
An immovable force of my resolve,

Have been eroded and bashed,
The waves clawing at the cliffface,
Dragging it to the depths
Eroding the cliff, and the land with it.
Eroding the emotions, and myself with it.

The sly words,
The sharp remarks,
The painful spears of gossip.

The erosion of my emotion go on,
Tearing the wall down, brick by brick

This erosion of emotions,
Eroding of the self.
