Disillusionment

The stories we tell,

To make us and others believe,

Why? I do not know?

Maybe it makes us feel better,

Makes us feel safe,

Makes us feel happy
Disillusionment within disillusionment,

Leaving a numbness in your mouth,

A numbness in your skin,

A numbness in your mind,

And a numbness in your heart.

Begging for it to stop, and your real life to start.
